During my first pregnancy in 1996 I decided to attend ante natal yoga classes. I became both intrigued and amazed at the effect that the simple movements and breath work had on my sense of well-being. After each lesson I felt relaxed, reinvigorated, and happy. I gained confidence in my body and my inner ability to give birth. Later, the techniques I had learnt had a profound effect on my labour and transition into motherhood.
As a keen practitioner of Yoga ever since, it is a joy to pass the benefits of Yoga on to others. I began teaching yoga in 2004. I hold the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma, ITEC Anatomy and Physiology and Birthlight Module 1. I also have a strong teaching background in mainstream education where for more than a decade I taught both children and adults. I have Bachelor and Master of Education degrees.
